256 New SLCMP Recruits to Take Up Island-Wide Duties

One more batch of 256 new recruits to the Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police (SLCMP) upon completion of their Provost Course - No. 71 passed out during a recent Passing Out Parade (POP), held at School of Military Police, Girithale.

Brigadier Gamini Sirisena, Provost Marshal & Colonel Commandant, Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police graced the occasion as the Chief Guest at the invitation of the Commandant, School of Military Police.

Those 256 recruits are to be accordingly deployed across the island for provost duties after completing their Recruit Course (3 months) successfully at Recruit Training School of the Army.

The Colonel Commandant of the SLCMP, addressed the audience and highlighted the importance of being a Military Policeman in the Sri Lanka Army which is built on strict discipline.

Certificates and awards were awarded to the achievers in the course by the day’s Chief Guest at the end of the Passing Out Ceremony.

Senior Officers, Officers, Other Rankers, parents, relatives and other trainees also attended the event.

The best achievers of the Course are as follows;
