24 Division Headquarters of the Security Force Headquarters - East (SFHQ-E) marked its 3rd Anniversary on Tuesday (20).
The anniversary programme was held with several events under the guidance of Brigadier L.M Mudalige, General Officer Commanding (GOC), 24 Division.
On arrival at the Headquarters premises, the GOC received a Guard Turnout, presented by 12 Sri Lanka National Guard troops.
During the programme, the GOC planted a Mango tree sapling at the Headquarters premises.
After a formal troop address, the GOC participated in an all rank lunch at the other rankers’ mess.
Senior officers, all commanding officers of respective Units, officers and other ranks attended the day’s programmes.
In parallel with the anniversary programme a blood donation, overnight Pirith chanting and multi religious events were also conducted during November 24-27.
