A simple ceremony for donation of additional school uniforms and inauguration of a drinking water project took place recently at Etaweeragollewa Vidyalaya, Anuradhapura, following patronage extended by two donors and Kelaniya Rotary Club.
The event, organized by 211 Brigade Headquarters under the Security Forces Headquarters, Wanni (SFHQ-W) saw 41 school boys and 43 school girls receive more than 165 sets of new uniforms as donations from Mr and Mrs Gamini Kariyawasam of Angulana railway station road, Moratuwa and Kelaniya Rotary Club.
A new drinking water scheme, built by the troops serving the 211 Brigade was also opened during the same ceremony since the school did not have enough water for drinking purposes.
Brigadier P. M. S. A Pallemulla, Commander 211 Brigade, Lt Colonel V. M.J. B Tennekoon, Civil Affairs Coordinator, Mr Daya de Costa of Kelaniya Rotary Club and a large gathering attended the occasion.
