Medawachchiya area - resident 50 school students of low-income families were among the recipients of school accessories, bags, stationery as incentives on Friday (19) following sponsorship, extended by the ‘Siri Gunaruwan Sisu Diriya Foundation’ of Mr Ajith Rohana, thanks to an initiative of the 21 Division of the Security Force Headquarters - Wanni (SFHQ-W).
The project coincided with the 23rd anniversary of the SFHQ-W received the guidance and support of Major General Hemantha Bandara, Commander, Security Forces - Wanni and Major General Vikum Liyanage, General Officer Commanding, 21 Division.
Colonel R.M.C Ratnayake, Colonel Coordination of the 21 Division joined the distribution ceremony as the Chief Guest at the Irattaperiyakulam National Youth Corps premises, together with representatives of sponsors for this civil-military cooperation project. 211 Brigade Commander, Colonel J.K.R Jayakody assisted the conduct of the distribution ceremony.
