A simple ceremony at Infantry Training Centre (ITC) - Minneriya on Wednesday (13) saw 198 new recruits, enlisted to the Army passed out adhering to health guidelines.
Those recruits were from Gemunu Watch (26), Special Forces (80) and Military Intelligence Corps (92) and they underwent training for more than 4 months in the Minneriya ITC.
Recruit K.H.T.L Madushanka of Gemunu Watch was selected as the Best Recruit in the course and was awarded during the Passing Out Parade.
Brigadier Chandana Ranaweera, Commandant, ITC Minneriya graced the Passing Out ceremony as the Chief Guest.
The recruitment programme goes hand in hand with the 'Way Forward Strategy - 2020 - 2025' enunciated by the Commander of the Army.
