Troops of the 18 Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment of the 682 Brigade of the 68 Division on Tuesday (26) cariied out a series of community-based awareness programmes on prevention from transmission of COVID 19 at public places in Thevipuram area on an initiative taken by Colonel Chaminda Galappaththi Commander of 682 Brigade on the directions of Major General Upali Rajapaksha, General Officer Commanding, 68 Division.
Accordingly, distributing leaflets and the public address system, troops educated large concentrations of civilians were educated against transmission of the virus and preventive measures that should be adopted, etc.
