141 More Persons Confirmed Positive to COVID -19 in Past 24 Hours -NOCPCO

As of this morning (5), a total of 141 more persons were confirmed positive to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours. 19 Sri Lankan expatriates and 122 of those positive cases are locally-identified ones, including the majority 54 from Colombo District, 25 from Gampaha District, 12 from Kalutara District and 31 others from different Districts, states the National Operations Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO).

By this morning (5), a total of 93,435 persons, inclusive of 89,050 of the fish market and Minuwangoda Brandix cluster have been confirmed positive to COVID-19 from all over the country, including the dead. 88,808 fully-recovered COVID-19 patients have been so far discharged from hospitals and care centres. The rest, 2,647 are still under treatment in hospitals and care centers.

In the past 24 hours, 187 recovered patients have left hospitals and care centres. Likewise, two more deaths have been reported in the past 24 hours. Accordingly, the COVID-19 death toll in the country rose to 581 by this morning (5).
