120 Students in Remote Welikanda Areas Given Incentives Thru Army Initiatives

Troops of 3 (Volunteer) Sri Lanka Army Corps of Agriculture and Livestock in collaboration with the 95th Batch of the Agriculture Faculty, University of Peradeniya donated school items for underprivileged students at Malinda Primary School, Madurangala Primary School and Monarathenna Primary School in the Welikanda Educational Division on Saturday (27).

Gift parcels included school bags, water bottles, lunch boxes, school uniforms, pairs of shoes & socks and books for 120 students in all those 3 remote schools. Lieutenant Colonel D.L.C.N Muthuthanthrige, Commanding Officer 3 (Volunteer) Sri Lanka Army Corps of Agriculture and Livestock took the initiative in organizing the donation, considering poverty levels and financial difficulties of those beneficiaries.
