Brigadier Prasanna Ranawaka assumed office as the new General Officer Commanding of the 12 Division of the Security Forces - Central on Wednesday (20) amid of religious observances in the Divisional Headquarters at Hambanthota.
The newly appointed GOC signed an official document to signify the official acceptance of the office as chanting of the Maha Sangha continued.
He succeeds Major General Hemantha Bandara who has now been appointed the Commander, Security Froces - Wanni.
