12 Division Headquarters under the Security Force Headquarters in order to enhance knowledge on ‘Human Rights and Humanitarian Law’ on Wednesday (26), conducted a seminar with the participation of officers and other ranks serving the Headquarters.
The lecture, delivered by Mr D.M.R Dissanayake, Coordinating Officer for Matara Branch Human Rights Commission was attended by five officers and more than 130 other ranks.
On the instructions of the 12 Division General Officer Commanding, the arrangement saw many subjects, related to the topic were discussed.
Meanwhile, Security Forces Headquarters - Central (SFHQ-C) organized a similar workshop on Tuesday (25) at the SFHQ - C on the directions of Major General Ubaya Medawela, Commander, SFHQ - C. Mr. Jagath Wickremasinghe from Badulla Human Rights Commission Branch conducted the lecture for Officers and Other Ranks at the SFHQ - C.
