The 112 Brigade HQ located in Badulla marked its 70th anniversary on Saturday (30) with a series of religious events.
At first, a Bodhi Pooja was organized in the camp shrine to invoke blessings and transfer merits to the departed ones. It also wished speedy recovery to all wounded war heroes under rehabilitation. Afterwards, alms to children at the Children's Home in Badulla were offered.
On the annivcersary day, troops presented a Guard Turnout to Brigadier Anura Dissanayake, followed by sapling planting by the day's chief guest in the compound. He also addressed the troops and joined an all rank lunch to coincide with the occasion.
