In parallel with the 30th death anniversary of Lieutenant General Denzil Kobbekaduwa which fell on Monday (8), 111 Brigade troops of the 11 Division had a blood donation campaign organized on Monday (8) at the National Blood Bank premises in Kandy.
Altogether 74 troops, including Officers voluntarily participated in the blood donation and commemorated the memory of the legendary War Hero who laid his life at Araly point in 1992, together with nine military personnel.
Major General Kalpa Sanjeewa, General Officer Commanding of the 11 Division coordinated and gave guidelines for the project. The offer received praise from officials in the Blood bank.
