11 More Fully Recovered Patients Leave Hospitals - NOCPCO

As of this morning (24), 11 persons who arrived from overseas were confirmed positive to COVID-19. They are from Saudi Arabia (02) at Walisara QC, UAE (07) at Hotel Shangrilla - Hambanthota QC, Biyagama Village QC and Diyagama QCs, Ethiopia (01) at Hotel Dolphin QC and Russia (01) at Amalo Boutique Resort - Mathara QC, states the National Operation Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO).

By 6.00 this morning (24), the total number of detainees in quarantine at Kandakadu and Senapura Treatment and Rehabilitation Centres for Drug Addicts stands at 650.

The flight EY 264 from Abu Dhabi with 6 passengers, flight QR 668 from Doha with 63 passengers, flight UL 226 from UAE with 287 passengers has arrived in Colombo. All of them were to be referred to Quarantine Centres, managed by tri-services after formalities at the airport.

Within the day (24), 205 quarantined individuals after PCR tests are set to leave for their homes. Of them, 3 persons were from Nipuna Boossa QC, 18 from Mihintale QC, 1 from Kalpitiya Ruwala QC, 2 from Jetwing Sea QC, 32 from Hotel Dolpin, 26 from Hotel Amaria QC, 81 from Induruwa QC, 11 from Dikwella QC, 20 from Diyathalawa QC and 11 more persons from Pallekele QC.

Likewise, 44,115 individuals by this morning (24) have been sent back home after quarantining. 6,927 persons in 68 tri-service-managed QCs are still in quarantine. Within yesterday (23), 1600 PCR tests were carried out across the country and the total PCR tests conducted so far stands at 273,708.

Meanwhile, 11 positive COVID-19 cases after full recovery left hospitals early this morning (24). All of them are expatriates.

By 6.00 this morning (24), the total number of detainees in quarantine at Kandakadu and Senapura Treatment and Rehabilitation Centres for Drug Addicts stands at 646. Of them, 04 infected individuals are still under treatment.

Since no positive cases have been reported from society other than among those arriving from overseas, all Sri Lankans are urged to continue their health practices and help prevention of its transmission as per instructions given by health authorities.
