1 SLAWC Commanding Officer Invited to be Chief Guest

The Commanding Officer of 1st Battalion Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps (SLAWC), Major D.C.N Bombuwala was honoured by inviting to participate in a special ceremony, organized at the People’s Bank (PB) Headquarters Colombo on account of the International Women's Day on 8 March.

She attended the ceremony as the Chief Guest, organized by Mr Sujeewa Rajapaksha, Chairman PB, and Mr Ranjith Kodithuwakku, Chief Executive Officer, together with the General Manager.

She was also invited to deliver a speech and shared her experience during the ceremony. The Deputy Governor of the Central Bank, Mr P.M.J.Y.G. Fernando, General Manager of Ceylon Electricity Board Kumuduni Herath, Deputy General Manager Inland Revenue Department, Champa Weerasinghe, Veteran Artist Mrs Renuka Balasooriya and a host of female professionals attended the ceremony.
