The troops of 1 Corps arranged a formal ceremony to bid farewell to Major General P.S Subath Sanjeewa RSP nps psc, outgoing Commander of 1 Corps, on 03 May 2026 at the 1 Corps Headquarters.
In accordance with military traditions, a Guard Turnout and a Guard of Honour were accorded by the troops of the 3rd Battalion the Gajaba Regiment upon his arrival.
Adding memories to the day, the outgoing Commander was invited to pose for a group photograph. In his address to all ranks, he expressed appreciation for the commitment and dedication demonstrated by all ranks during his tenure.
The formalities for the day concluded with an All-Ranks tea, providing an opportunity for the outgoing Commander to interact with all ranks. Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks were present at the occasion.
