The year’s most attractive military spectacle, ‘Army Searchlight Tattoo’ is to be held during September 8 and 9, 2014 at Moneragala Technical College Grounds, said Major General Mano Perera, Commander, Security Force Headquarters - Central (SFHQ-C) during a media briefing at the 5 Gemunu Watch (GW) Headquarters conference hall on Thursday (4).
The Army Searchlight Tattoo will remain open gratis to the public starting at 2.00 p.m. on all two days until Tuesday (9) evening.
Holding of the Tattoo at provincial Moneragala coincides with the government’s policy of taking major public events for display, away from Colombo since such shifting benefits local denizens as well as development projects in respective regions.
