  • 200 More Bicycles Given to Civilians Free

     
    With a view to giving helping hand to revive their living standards, Army troops recently organized the distribution of some 200 push-bicycles among 200 families in the Thirumurukkandi Grama Seva sector under the 3 Task Force Headquarters in Kilinochchi. Donors of the push-bicycles, ‘Guna Jaya Sathuta Padanama’ (Foundation of Goodness), headed by Mr Kusil Gunawardane, Trustee attended the distribution ceremony.

    The Army’s maiden Officer Career Development Centre (OCDC), affiliated to the Sri Lanka Military Academy (SLMA), Diyatalawa is to be opened shortly in Buttala with the support it receives from the Directorate of Training at Army Headquarters.
