Well-Furnished & Equipped New Community Centre Opened in Muttiyankattu
Sri Lanka Army troops serving the 64 Division under the Security Forces Headquarters - Mullaittivu (SFHQ-MLT) assisted and facilitated the construction of a new Community Centre at Mutiyankattu, Mullaittivu. ‘Millennium Information Technology’ (MIT) and HABITAT sponsored the construction and the supply of a stock of electronic equipment, furniture, electric appliances, cutlery, glassware and a computer to the new Community Centre.
To coincide with the 65th National Independence Day, the Security Forces Headquarters - Wanni (SFHQ-W) distributed 100 dry-ration packets and school accessories, valued more than Rs. 1 million among newly-resettled families and their children during a ceremony at Kelebogaswewa Community Centre on Sunday (3). Sponsorship to this worthy project was offered by the All Ceylon Buddhist Congress (ACBC) at Colombo 7 following coordination, done by the SFHQ-W. 
60 children of the Mulankavil, Ampaham Children’s Home-managed pre-school, parents, custodians and its staff, including five priests in Kilinochchi District arrived in Mannar recently on a pilgrimage, following arrangements made by the Civil Affairs Coordination Office in Kilinochchi. The group after touring Mannar town called at the famous Thirukeshwaram Kovil and the Madhu Shrine before they were hosted to tea and refreshments by the Army as a gesture of goodwill and reconciliation.

202 families resident in Kambiliwewa, Konwewa, Kohomagas Wewa and Vehera Wewa in the 623 Brigade Area under the 62 Division, were given dry-ration parcels, each worth about Rs 1250/=. Anuradhapura Shanthi Foundation sponsored the purchase of gifts to these remote villagers.
