With the sole intention of further strengthening bonds of religious amity, harmony, co-existence, reconciliation and understanding among different ethnicities, the Security Forces Headquarters - East (SFHQ-E) organized two meetings of religious leaders in Ampara and Batticaloa Districts on Monday (28). The Civil-Coordination office of the 211 Brigade Vavuniya in liaison with FRIDSRO organization of Bokkawela, organized a medical and dental clinic at remote Pawakkulam Unit 2 village on Tuesday (29). The clinic, organized under the able guidance of the Security Force Commander Wanni, Major General M. H. S. B. Perera and the 211 Brigade Commander Colonel M. K. S. Silva, drew over 300 civilians who otherwise had to travel a long distance from their homes to seek medical assistance.
