Army Benevolent Fund Directorate Website Launched
Directorate of Army Benevolent Fund, responsible for additional welfare of Army personnel launched its maiden website, www.army.lk/dabf on January (1) morning during a simple ceremony at the Directorate premises at Panagoda.

Kilinochchi-based 7 Sri Lanka Light Infantry Regiment (SLLI) troops rose to the occasion and immediately restored a road patch, damaged due to surging flood waters in Konavil, Akkaranayamkulam area that crippled transport between Konavil-Suniyamkulam. Gushing waters, experienced in this area in the past few days completely washed away a road length of about 25-30 ft in Konavil area on Konavil-Suniyamkulam road, turning it impassable for vehicles.
