Finals of the Inter Regiment Football Tournament of the Army got underway at CR & FC grounds Tuesday (11) afternoon with a record gathering of spectators. Lieutenant General Jagath Jayasuriya, Commander of the Army, an avid fan of football witnessed the final match as the Chief Guest of the occasion. The closely-contested final tussle between Military Intelligence Corps (MIC) and Sri Lanka Army Service Corps (SLASC) teams ended up, finally bringing victory to SLASC with 4 - 2 goals.
