Mullaittivu District Judge Commends Army, Sending an Appreciative Letter
Mr M. Ganeshraja, District Judge/Magistrate, District Magistrate’s Court, Mullaittivu, in a letter of appreciation, addressed to Mr Gotabaya Rajapaksa, Secretary to Ministry of Defence and Urban Development, has hailed the ‘excellent job’, performed by troops of the Security Force Headquarters - Mullaittivu (SFHQ-MLT) in the clearing of the site, proposed for the new Court complex, using Army mechanical equipment.
Major General S.A.P.P Samarasinghe, currently the Commandant, Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force (SLAVF) has been appointed as Sri Lanka Army’s Chief of Staff, effective from 17 May 2014. He succeeds Major General A.W.J.C De Silva. Meanwhile, Major General E.M.M Ambanpola, has been appointed Deputy Chief of Staff with effect from 9 May 2014 after Major General E.P. De Z Abeysekara went on retirement.
