Sri Lankan Javelin Thrower Nadeeka Lakmali from Sri Lanka Army Women's Corps(SLAWC) established a new meet record in the pole vault event on day one of the 50th Sri Lanka Army Inter-regiment Athletics Championship which began at Sugathadasa Stadium, Colombo yesterday. Nadeeka threw a distance of 57.57 metres to improve her last year record of 56.76 metres.
