  • First batch of Master Degree graduates pass out 120 officers graduated at KDA

    The 13th Convocation of the Sir John Kotelawala Defence Academy (KDA), held at BMICH on Wednesday (24) saw 120 Cadet Officers of Armed Forces graduate after completion of their three year course. This year\'s Convocation, for the first time in KDA history awarded Master\'s Degree to 17 Senior Officers of Security Forces.

    WARRANT OFFICER II (WO II), S. Navarathne Rajah of the Sri Lanka Army, who was brutally slain by Tamil Tigers on Wednesday (14) morning in Batticaloa took leave of his bereaved family members, fellow-soldiers and the Nation on Thursday (15) at a simple funeral ceremony at Pudur public cemetery with full military honours.
  • Ten Army Boxers in Finals at Clifford Cup Meet

    Eight boxers from the Army 'A' team and two from the 'B' team were successful in entering the Clifford Cup finals scheduled to be held this evening at the Sugathadasa Indoor Stadium.
