Buddha statue at military hospital open for veneration

Palaly Military hospital was sanctified on Full Moon Poya day by Major General S.D. Tennakoon, Commander Security Forces Headquarters, Jaffna when he gifted a Buddha statue to be placed inside the newly built shrine room at the hospital premises.


CDS addresses troops and attends Poya Day religious rites

Lance Corporal H. K. A HENDENIYA (S/306406) of Seventh Battalion, Sri Lanka Light Infantry of No. 22, YAMAMMULLA, AKURAMBODA, MATALE, was the latest valiant soldier to die in an LTTE sniper attack on Tuesday (16) morning while on duty at the LTTE Army post at KESELWATTE in MUTUR.
