PUTTALAM: A ROUTINE SEARCH conducted on vehicles at a roadblock in PETHAVADIYA, KALPITIYA area found a crew cab carrying explosives to an undisclosed party.
NORTH & WANNI: TROOPS in JAFFNA intensified assaults on terrorist positions in the general area of MUHAMALE Wednesday (16) during their operations ahead of the Forward Defence Line (FDL). MP., who is reported to have tabled a highly verbose motion in Parliament calling for the appointment of a Select Committee to find a political solution.

The Sri Lankan newspaper readers did, however, note that you failed to make any mention of the well known source of this suicide attack, let alone condemn that source by name. That name is LTTE, in case it is absent in your vocabulary. We also noted that you failed even to make a request that these murderous activities should stop forthwith.
