During the final phases of the Wanni Humanitarian Operation, 58 Division troops advancing towards the south linked with the 59 Division troops marching northwards on 16th May morning depriving the LTTE terrorists of the last hold of the beach. With this, terrorists have completely lost the entire sea-side control of the country. Troops also captured a haul of LTTE weapons.
