Military nurses take oath after initial training

Thirty-five trainees from the Army and another ten from the Navy, who successfully completed their first year of nursing training, took their oaths before Major General K.D.P Perera, Director Medical Services, Army Hospital who was also the chief guest on that occasion.

All of them received extensive training at Nurses' Training School, affiliated to the Anuradhapura Victory Army Hospital. The oath-taking ceremony took place at Anuradhapura Swarnapali Balika Maha Vidyalaya auditorium last week.

During their first year of training they acquired both theoretical and practical knowledge from medical experts. Director of Nursing Studies, Health Ministry, Mrs. S.G. Samaranayake was also present on this occasion.
