Major General Boniface Perera, Commander, Security Force Headquarters Wanni, (SFHQ-W) with the motive of inspecting visited the Anuradhapura Army Base Hospital and 3 Sri Lanka Army Medical Corps (SLAMC) in Anuradhapura on Wednesday (9).
Commanding officers of respective battalions warmly received the Commander. Troops offered Guard Turnouts to be in line with military traditions and welcomed him.
During his stay the Commander planted tree saplings as tokens of memory and briefed the Commanding Officers regarding their roles and tasks. Moreover, Commanding Officers explained the progress in relation to Civil-Military Co-operation (CIMIC) activities and welfare programmers initiated to enhance the living standards of soldiers serving those units.
Colonel Forward Maintenance Area (North Central), Colonel Admin and Quartering of SFHQ-W and several senior officers accompanied the Wanni Commander on the visit.
