The Chinese delegation, currently in Sri Lanka to offer technical assistance to the ongoing Chinese - funded auditorium complex at Sri Lanka Military Academy (SLMA), Diyatalawa and review its construction progress paid a courtesy call on the Commander of Army Lieutenant General Crishanthe De Silva at the Army Headquarters on Thursday (18) evening.
The 6 - member delegation, headed by Major General Cheng Jiang, Political Commissar of Department of Military Training of General Staff Headquarters of People’s Liberation Army (PLA), during their cordial meeting with the Commander of the Army, exchanged views on the progress of the project and other technical aspects after their visit to the complex on Wednesday (17).
After the formal meet, the visiting delegates exchanged mementos with the Commander as tokens of goodwill.
Major General E.M.M. Ambanpola, Deputy Chief of Staff and Major General B.A. Perera, Director General General Staff were also associated with the discussions.
