Sri Lanka Army Rugby Team recorded a comfortable victory against Sri Lanka Police ruggerites, securing 41 points against 20 at Police Park Ground, Colombo on Sunday (4) during the ongoing tournament.
At the first half, Police players playing aggressively collected more points but the Army team, captained by Rohitha Rajapaksa, showed its colours as the game became more tense in the second half. However, at the end of the game, Army players collected 41 and recorded victory against 20 of the Police.
First Lady, Mrs Shiranthi Rajapaksa, Lieutenant General Daya Ratnayake, Commander of the Army, Mrs Damayanthi Ratnayake, President, Army Seva Vanitha Unit together with several senior officers, witnessed the match.
