Eastern troops provided five liters water bottles to drought - hit villages in Kuduthulawa, Jayasirigama, Viharagama and Nelumwewa at Medirigiriya Divisional Secretariat area.
On the initiatives of Major General Lal Perera, Commander, Security Force Headquarters East (SFHQ-E), Brigadier Rohitha Dharmasiri, General Officer Commanding, 22 Division under command to SFHQ-E supplied these relief stocks.
Staff at the Bandaranaike International Airport, Katunayake and Mr. Nihal Perera from Kaduwela donated the stock and Colonel Kamal Pinnawala, Brigade Commander, 222 Brigade coordinated the distribution of water bottles.
