Clinic on Cardiac Ailments Receive Asiri Hospital Patronage

In order to provide humanitarian assistance, the Security Force Headquarters-West (SFHQ-West) earlier this week organized a medical clinic on Cardiac ailments for the benefit of the people in Uda Walawe area with patronage, received from Asiri Hospital (Pvt) Limited at Uda Walawe Maha Vidyalaya.

Initiatives in this regard were taken by Major General U.A.B Medawala, Commander, SFHQ-West after troops serving those areas, informed the SFHQ-West of this need, considering limited medical facilities, available for such patients in remote areas.

A few cardiologists from the Asiri Hospital and para medics, together with technical staff, medical officers at Uda Walawe hospital, assisted the Indian Cardiologist, Dr. Guptha who examined patients closely.

About 450 patients were examined and those who needed further treatment were referred to general and base hospitals. Those attending the clinic were examined for blood pressure, diabetes, etc.

Major General U.A.B Medawala, gracing the inauguration of the event, expressed the view that the SFHQ-West would continue to conduct these types of medical clinics in the future too.

Brigade Commander, 114 Brigade and Civil Affairs Officer (CAO), SFHQ-West were associated with the inauguration of the clinic.
