112 Brigade Headquarters at Diyatalawa under the Security Force Headquarters - Central (SFHQ-C) in coordination with the Army Volunteer Training School had their Sinhala and Tamil New Year festival, held at SFHQ-C Rondow Grounds on Tuesday (8).
Traditional folk games, marathon races, selection of New Year prince and princess, tug of war, fun-making events and many other spectacles took place during the event.
Major General U.A.B Medawela, Commander, SFHQ-C as the Chief Guest together with several senior officers attended the festival as spectators.
