The 12 km road stretch between Ayakachchi - Kaddaikadu road that connects to Kovilvayal, Mulliyan, Kevil and Kaddaikadu main areas in the Jaffna peninsula was completely renovated by the Engineer troops of the Army in cooperation with members of the civilians in the area.
The road patch that remained completely damaged with many pot holes prevented vehicles engaged in commercial work and public transport services from moving along due to the dilapidated status.
Army troops using their heavy machinery of the Army Engineers together with the help of civilians repaired the road and made it motorable within a few days with the blessings of the Commander, Security Force Headquarters-Jaffna (SFHQ-J).
Troops of the 55 Division with Commanding Officer of the Engineer troops took the lead in the repair work.
