Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China, Mr Wu Jianghao Tuesday (13) morning paid a courtesy call on the Commander of the Army Lieutenant General Daya Ratnayake at the latter’s office at Army Headquarters.
Sri Lanka-based Mr Wu Jianghao is the first foreign diplomat to have called on the Commander upon his assumption of office on August 1, 2013.
The four-member Chinese delegation, headed by the ambassador was comprised of Senior Colonel Li Chen Glin, the newly appointed Defence Attaché and two other diplomats. During their interaction, both the Ambassador and the Army Chief shared sentiments of goodwill and views on matters of mutual interest.
Towards the end of the meeting, both of them signified the importance of the occasion with exchange of mementos.
