As a part of the community development projects carried out by the Sri Lanka Army, the 68 Division organized a series of seminars for the students, ready to sit the GCE O/L examination in early December, at Puthukuduirippu Central College recently.
Over 300 students from Iranapalei Maha Vidyalaya, Sugandirapuram Vidyalaya, Thuruvil Vidyalaya, Udayarkaddukulam Vidyalaya and Thevipuram Vidyalaya participated at the seminars, conducted by experienced teachers targeting GCE O/L Mathematics and Science question papers. Study materials and refreshments were provided free of charge to all those participants by the Army in coordination with other authorities.
Under the guidance of Maj Gen K. J. Wijethilake General Officer Commanding 68 Division, Commander 682 Brigade organized the seminars in liaison with Director Education Northern Province Mr. V. Selvaraja, Assistant Director of Education Mrs. Sudarshani Kapukotuwa, Director Vadamaratchi Education Zone Mr. Nantha Kumar and Principal Puthukuduirippu Central College.
