More than 130 Army families, resident in the Panagoda Army Quarters for other ranks enthusiastically took part in a domestic cultivation (Gewathu Waga) competition, following initiatives taken by Security Forces Headquarters-South (SFHQ-S).
The project launched under ‘Divi Neguma’ drive proved successful and saw the best cultivators receive cash gifts and other consolation prizes.
Department of Agrarian Services actively supported the project. Residents in the complex on the same day attended to thorough cleaning of the premises and over one hundred families took part in the project.
