Fifty newly-resettled fishing families of Kilaly Grama Seva Division received fishing nets and safety kerosene lamps as livelihood assistance on Thursday (02).
Each family received four fishing nets from Hon. Parliamentarian Mr. M. Chandrakumar. The Project coordinated by the Civil Affairs Office of 552 Brigade in Iyakkachchi, also distributed 100 safety kerosene lamps among the families. In addition the Civil Affairs Office handed over a set of office equipment to the Kilaly Fisheries Society.
The clergy at Mirusuvil Christian Church Rev. Fr. Pakkiyanathan, Commander 522 Brigade Brigadier Deepal Wanniarachchi, Pachchilaippalli Divisional Secretary Mr. T. Mukunthan and senior officers of the Brigade were present at the occasion.
