Partially-built house of a War Hero was completed and handed over to the War Hero by Chairperson Ministry of Defence (MoD) Seva Vanitha Unit Mrs. Ioma Rajapaksa recently (23) at Parape, Rambukkana.
Private Senanayake H.G.A.K of Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment (VIR), a totally dependant disabled War Hero, received injuries during the Humanitarian Operation in Nayaru area in Welioya on 18 April 2009. Seva Vanitha Unit of MoD, continuing its assistance to War Hero housing, granted monetary support to Private Senanayake to complete construction of his partially built house.
President VIR Seva Vanitha Unit, Colonel of the Regiment VIR, members of VIR Seva Vanitha Unit and a large number of officers were present at the occasion.
