9 SLNG troops Donate Water Pumping Scheme to Inuvil School

9 Sri Lanka National Guard (SLNG) troops serving Inuvil area in Jaffna with the support of donors from the South recently installed a water pumping scheme in the Puthumadam Roman Catholic Primary School premises as a token of goodwill and understanding.

Hundreds of school children before the installation of the water pump used to quench their thirst drawing water from a deep well in the compound. In some instances, those playful small children were exposed to high risks as their need for water was more important than anything else.

The pumping system that cost Rs. 60,000/= to the troops provided the school with the much-needed requirement, for which the Principal and the teachers thanked the Army lavishly.

Those troops also cleaned up the school premises and distributed gift parcels among those children.
