A 28-member-team of school cadets from SAARC countries, now in Sri Lanka as part of their annual routine, interacted with the Commander of the Army Lieutenant General Jagath Jayasuriya when they visited the Army Headquarters on Monday (18).
Those school cadets from India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Nepal during their stay in Sri Lanka are expected to visit the National Cadet Corps at Rantembe and attend the competition for Herman Loose trophy among Sri Lankan cadets.
During their short interaction with the Commander over tea and refreshments, they exchanged views on matters of interest to their respective cadet corps. Towards the conclusion of the meeting, they presented mementos to the Commander as tokens of goodwill and memory. The Commander reciprocated the gesture.
