JAFFNA: FOUR CIVILIANS sustained injuries due to explosion of a land mine while they were collecting sand in the village area of MULLI Friday (25) evening around 7.30 p.m..
THAVARASA DINESH, S. ILLANTHIRIYAN, S. SURENDRAN and GEORGE WOOROW were injured in the explosion of the land mine, believed to have been buried by LTTE terrorists in the area some time back before they were defeated.
Injured sand miners were rushed to JAFFNA hospital.
The JAFFNA Police are conducting further investigations.
