HE President Mahinda Rajapaksa in the company of Secretary to President Mr Lalith Weerathunga and Mrs Lalith Weerathunga Secretary Defence Mr Gotabaya Rajapaksa and Mrs Ioma Rajapaksa, Commander of the Army Lieutenant General Jagath Jayasuriya and Mrs Manjulika Jayasuriya, Commander of the Navy Vice Admiral Thisara Samarasinghe and Mrs Samarasinghe took time off to extend his wholehearted support towards construction of the Anuradhapura 'Abimansala' (Wellness Resort) for permanently disable War Heroes when he enjoyed the fund-raiser, "Tharu Dilena Reyak" musical extravaganza Saturday (17) evening at Sugathadasa Indoor Stadium.

As the stage is set for the inaugural work for construction of the 'Abimansala', the centre for rest and recreation of totally dependent War Heroes, many more surprises are to follow in the coming months. Reputed artists and a galaxy of vocalists are to lend their talents to a mammoth event on 17th July 2010 with the noble intention of collecting funds for this deserving project.
