 ‘Abimansala’ Inmates Entertained

Inmates at Anuradhapura ‘Abimansala’ wellness resort, built exclusively for permanently dependent War Heroes had a special treat on Thursday (21), thanks to the arrangements made jointly by Sri Lanka Army Service Corps (SLASC) Seva Vanitha Unit and Seva Vanitha Army Branch (SVAB) at Army Headquarters.

The group of visitors to the ‘Abimansala’ comprised of Mrs Manjulika Jayasuriya, President, SVAB, Mrs Rani Jayatillake, Secretary, SVAB and several other SVAB senior members together with some Army officers.

During the visit, Mrs Jayasuriya inquired into well-being of the inmates and other matters of relevant to them at domestic front with the view to providing speedy solutions to them if necessary. Before the evening’s entertaining features got off, Mrs Jayasuriya, together with senior SVAB members gave away gift parcels to those inmates with the patronage extended by the SLASC Seva Vanitha Unit.

Inmates who attended a fellow-dinner with the visiting ladies afterwards enjoyed music and fun-making features, presented by a host of popular artistes like Ms Mercy Edirisinghe, Anusha Damayanthi, Chilli, Rajitha (Ping Pong) until late hours.

SLASC Seva Vanitha unit members, SVAB members and a gathering of officers and soldiers witnessed the evening arrangements.
