Seva Vanitha Army Branch (SVAB) on a concept of President SVAB Mrs. Manjulika Jayasuriya shoulders the burden of constructing new houses, completing partially built houses and constructing comfortable toilets for War Heroes. To mark the 61st Army Day the first installment was paid for 12 such disabled War Heroes and next of kin of fallen Heroes.
Sri Lanka United National Association of Canada, an organization of Sri Lankans living in Canada donated Rs. 210,000/= to Brave Hearts Project for the construction of Abimansala the wellness resort under construction for the totally dependant disabled War Heroes in Anuradhapura. The donation was handed over to SVAB President Mrs. Manjulika Jayasuriya by the President of the donor organization Mr. Mahinda Gunasekara and his lady Mrs. Malathi Gunasekara Wednesday (26) morning at Seva Vanitha Army Branch (SVAB) Colombo.
The Seva Vanitha Army Branch (SVAB), presided by Mrs. Manjulika Jayasuriya continues to assist disable War Heroes to complete their partially-built houses with the help of private donors and patronage. In response to an SVAB request, Brandix (Pvt) Ltd offered a sum of Rs 60,000/= as financial assistance to the War Hero.....
The ‘Abimansala’ at Anuradhapura nearing completion under the ‘Brave Hearts’ project received one more fillip when one more donor, domiciled in United States, made a cash donation towards its construction. Impressed with the progress in the project, Dr Lambert Abeythunga, resident in Las Vegas, US on Thursday (6) had sent in a sum of Rs 110,000/=
