Sri Lanka Army Rugby Team clinched victory over Police Sports Club Rugby team by scoring 43 to 36 points during the inauguration of the second round of the Inter Club Dialog Rugby Tournament - 2017/2018, at Sri Lanka Police Grounds, Field Force Headquarters in Havelock Town, Colombo 5 on Friday (9).
The first round matches of the Dialog Rugby League ‘A’ division was competed by Army Sports Club Rugby players in last few months.
Major General Sathyapriya Liyanage, Chairman, Army Rugby Sports Committee was instrumental in getting the event off the ground.
Mr Pujith Jayasundara, Inspector General of Police, Brigadier Jayantha Patabedige, Deputy Chairman, Army Rugby Sports Committee, together with several Senior Army Officers witnessed the tussle at Police grounds.
