‘Trail 2016’ Organizers Thank Kilinochchi Troops for Support

‘Colours of Courage Trust (Guarantee) Limited’ which spearheaded the ‘Trail - 2016’, the walk from Point Pedro to Dondra with the intention of raising funds for the proposed cancer facility at Galle Karapitiya Teaching Hospital, in a letter, addressed to Major General Amal Karunasekara, Commander, Security Forces – Kilinochchi acknowledged the support and assistance of the Security Force Headquarters – Kilinochchi during the ‘Trail 2016’.

‘This note is to express our sincere thanks for all the support and assistance extended to us by you and your team during the days of the Walk in Kilinochchi. Please accept our heartfelt thanks and gratitude. We couldn’t have done it without the support of you and your team,’ the letter went on to state.

The letter signed by Nathan Sivagananathan, Director and Sarinda Unamboowe, Director further commented that the expedition was ‘truly a nation coming together irrespective of our beliefs with an inherent genuineness to give. That is what is so unique about the Sri Lankan people, their inherent desire to help’.
