Workshop on ‘Personal Hygiene’ Educates Troops

A workshop on ‘Personal Hygiene and Health Protection’ meant to educate the troops on the importance of conducting good health practices was held at the Security Force Headquarters - Wanni (SFHQ-W) on Tuesday (18).

Mr Duminda Guruge, Senior lecturer at Rajarata University and a team of four members conducted the workshop, focused on child well-being, family well-being, Prevention of Non-Communicable Diseases, Reduction of Malnutrition, Prevention from use of tobacco and alcohol, Prevention from gender-based violence, etc.

The Commander, SFHQ-W addressed the gathering during the first session and highlighted the importance of organizing and attending this kind of programme as military men.

A large number of gathering including senior officers, officers and other ranks serving the SFHQ-W participated in this workshop.
