Women Soldiers Educated on Health

Security Force Headquarters – Kilinochchi (SFHQ-KLN) organized a health and wellness workshop for women soldiers serving in Kilinochchi area with collaboration of the Directorate of Psychological Operations at the Headquarters main auditorium during August 10-11.

The workshop covered important topics such as women’s long term health and wellbeing including ‘health’, ‘self-esteem’, ‘domestic violence’ and ‘healthy relationship and stress management’.

More than 100 women soldiers at 6 (Volunteer) Sri Lanka Women’s Corps participated in the workshop.

Commander, 572 Brigade conducted the opening address of the workshop.

During the workshop, Doctor Lalith Priyankara and Doctor Tharanga De Silva at General Hospital from Anuradapura delivered lectures.

Colonel J. A. U. J. P Jayasooriya and his team from the Directorate of Psychological Operations also conducted lectures to the participant.
